IS THE PASSPORT COVER »PETE« HAVANA-BROWN BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL STANDARD PASSPORTS?
During product development, we actually tested many passports from different nations. And they all fit very well into the leather travel wallet. The new German passport with a height of 12.5 cm fits as well as the old passport with 13 cm.
HOW CAN I CLEAN AND CARE FOR THE PASSPORT COVER »PETE« HAVANA-BROWN?
We recommend that you take care of the leather case in three steps:
- Remove dust and dirt particles from the leather wallet, for example with a leather brush or hand-held vacuum cleaner
- Gently dab and rub away stains with a clean, wet cloth. Consider trying a mild detergent if the stains are stubborn. You can use a special leather cleaner for this. You should test this in one place beforehand and use it in accordance with the instructions for use.
- Slightly grease leather from time to time (e.g. leather care with beeswax or carnauba wax). It is always best to test one spot first.

We only use vegetable-tanned buffalo leather for the passport cover. The particularly robust leather comes from India. During production, our leather is also refined by hand with oil and wax, giving it its special vintage patina.
WHERE AND HOW IS THE »PETE« HAVANA-BROWN PASSPORT COVER MADE?
Our goods are made in India. Our manufactory is a small family business whose long-standing employees manufacture our bags with a lot of heart and passion. In the meantime, a real friendship has grown from our long cooperation. The production conditions are socially acceptable and correspond to BSCI standards. We convince ourselves of this on a regular basis. Our leather and cotton fabrics are sourced directly locally from India. When dyeing our cotton fabrics, only dyes that are free of AZO dyes are used. Our leathers are basically vegetable tanned, i.e. plant-based and without the use of aggressive tanning agents. Our standards are socially and ecologically justifiable and above average.
Our leather production is LWG certified
Our leather tannery is certified to the LWG standard and we use only vegetable tanning agents for tanning. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an initiative to make conditions in tanneries and intermediaries more transparent and to bring about sustainable change. To implement its goals, the Leather Working Group has developed an audit protocol for sustainable and responsible leather production.
