The grill apron »Bob« is currently only available in one universal size (one size). However, the apron can be individually adjusted using a belt buckle at the waist (90-125cm or size M-XL) and at the neck (size M-XL). The apron has two leather straps on the side, e.g. for towels, and 3 practical leather patch pockets for additional grill accessories.
The leather apron is handmade from natural and sustainable materials. The apron is of high quality and all wear and tear points and stress points are additionally reinforced.

Leather is a natural material and may have small imperfections. Each leather product is also patinated by hand. This complex process makes our products unmistakable. No bag can be exactly like another. Small color deviations are unfortunately unavoidable and not a sign of poor quality.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN BUYING A GRILL APRON?
Our denim grilling apron »Bob« is protective equipment or work clothing for professional chefs. In the kitchen, the main concern is protection against hot fat and splashing cooking liquids. There is also a risk of burns. The grill is extremely hot. Open fire can also trigger flying sparks. A good barbecue apron should therefore provide good protection against cooking fat and flying cooking liquids. Likewise, a good cooking short isolates you from extreme heat and unwanted contact with fire sparks. The material of the grill apron should therefore have a certain strength and insulate as well as be flame retardant.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE “BOB” GRILL APRON IN DENIM?
For us, sustainability is not an advertising statement, but part of the design. We are concerned with authentic lifestyle accessories. A fair production with natural, authentic materials. We therefore do without plastics in our canvas grilling aprons for men. Our leather or denim is not laminated with plastic. The leather used is sustainably vegetable tanned, even if not entirely without chrome. An original with rough edges, but with a soul factor.
HOW DO I CLEAN AND CARE FOR THE DENIM GRILLING APRON »BOB«?
Basically you should hang the denim apron on a hanger to air it after wearing it at the grill. The grill apron can be dry cleaned, but does not belong in the washing machine and is also not suitable for hand washing. Basically, we are of the opinion that you should look at the age and the many uses of a barbecue apron. We therefore recommend cleaning the surface, i.e. with a brush at most. If you grill a lot over direct and open fire, you should think about an additional fire protection impregnation. For example, we recommend FEUERFEST® fire protection impregnation for textiles. This allows our grill aprons to be upgraded to fire protection class B1 (hardly inflammable) according to DIN 4102.
DOES THE CANVAS GRILLING APRON »BOB« IN DENIM FIT ME?
We currently only offer one universal size. However, our grilling aprons are adjustable at the neck (size M-XL) and at the waist (90-125cm or size M-XL). We are currently unable to offer grilling aprons for very "small" and very "large" people.
WHERE AND HOW IS THE DENIM GRILLING APRON "BOB" MADE?
Our goods are made in India. Our manufactory is a small family business whose long-standing employees manufacture our bags with a lot of heart and passion. In the meantime, a real friendship has grown from our long cooperation. The production conditions are socially acceptable and correspond to BSCI standards. We convince ourselves of this on a regular basis. Our leather and cotton fabrics are sourced directly locally from India. When dyeing our cotton fabrics, only dyes that are free of AZO dyes are used. Our leathers are basically vegetable tanned, i.e. plant-based and without the use of aggressive tanning agents. Our standards are socially and ecologically justifiable and above average.

Our leather tannery is certified to the LWG standard and we use only vegetable tanning agents for tanning. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an initiative to make conditions in tanneries and intermediaries more transparent and to bring about sustainable change. To implement its goals, the Leather Working Group has developed an audit protocol for sustainable and responsible leather production.
